Fringe Performer App – Privacy Policy

Fringe Performer is designed to work without requiring an account, registration or email address.

Personal information

Fringe Performer does not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, password or other personal profile information.

The following information is stored locally on your iPhone:

  • Favourited shows
  • Shows and performances added to Want to See
  • Shows and performances added to Performing
  • App preferences
  • Whether you have completed the introductory screen

This information is not uploaded to a Fringe Performer account or used to identify you.

Festival listings

Fringe Performer displays Edinburgh Festival Fringe listings using data provided by the Edinburgh Festivals Listings API.

The app may also load public show artwork from the Edinburgh Festivals image service. As with normal internet requests, that service may receive technical information necessary to deliver the requested image, such as an IP address and request information.

Fringe Performer does not receive or retain this information and does not use it to create user profiles, advertise to users or track users across apps or websites.

Analytics, advertising and tracking

Fringe Performer does not contain advertising.

The app does not use third-party analytics, advertising, attribution or tracking SDKs.

Fringe Performer does not use your information for targeted advertising or cross-app tracking.

External links

Fringe Performer may provide links to external services, including:

  • Official Edinburgh Fringe listings
  • Google Maps
  • The developer’s website

These links open outside Fringe Performer. Once you leave the app, the privacy policies and practices of the external service apply.

Data retention and deletion

Your personal Fringe Performer data is stored locally on your device.

Fringe Performer does not maintain a user account or server-side copy of your favourites or schedules.

You can remove locally stored data by changing or removing your selections within the app, or by deleting the Fringe Performer app from your iPhone.

Children

Fringe Performer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

This privacy policy may be updated if Fringe Performer’s features or data practices change.

The latest version will always be available on this page.
